Queen drummer and songwriter Roger Taylor has released his seventh solo album, Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, released on September 18 via Columbia. The 10-track project marks the 77-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s first solo record since 2021’s Outsider. The album centers on appreciating the planet while acknowledging ongoing global conflict, violence, and environmental damage, a theme introduced in the opening track “A Beautiful World.”
In addition to its heavier themes, the album features the upbeat single “Come On Summer (It’s Party Time),” which includes a collaboration with Limpopo, South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir. The new record adds to Taylor’s solo career, which began with his 1981 debut Fun in Space. To celebrate the release, Taylor is scheduled to perform select live dates in the U.K. in 2026.
