Radiohead is bringing their virtual exhibit, KID A MNESIA, to life with a physical installation called Motion Picture House. Originally launched in 2021 for PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5, this new project will allow fans to experience the world of their albums Kid A and Amnesiac in person.
The Motion Picture House is described as a large-scale audiovisual installation. It aims to fully immerse audiences in the creative atmosphere of the two albums, featuring artwork by frontman Thom Yorke and longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood. The exhibit will also include music from the original multitracks of the albums.
The first showing of Motion Picture House will take place at Coachella 2026, starting this Friday, in a specially designed underground bunker. After Coachella, the exhibit will travel to several cities: it will be in Brooklyn from May 6-31, Chicago from July 30 to August 23, Mexico City from October 27 to November 15, and finally in San Francisco from January 14 to February 7, 2027.
Tickets for the exhibit will go on presale starting April 22, with registration open until April 12. Any remaining tickets will be available to the public on April 24 at 10 a.m. local time. For more details, visit KIDA-MNESIA.com.
Please note that Radiohead will not be performing at the Motion Picture House. However, the band did tour Europe at the end of 2025, marking their first live shows in seven years.
