Alex Van Halen won’t be dishing the dirt in new memoir, ‘Brothers’

Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize (Alex Ridha) have officially announced a collaborative album under the moniker Nine Inch Noize. The project is designated as Halo 38 in the band’s official discography and is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026. The announcement was confirmed via social media and a teaser billboard on the route to Indio, California, where the duo is set to perform at Coachella.

The collaborative history between Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Ridha has been building through projects like the Challengers [Mixed] album, the TRON: Ares soundtrack, and the TRON Ares: Divergence remix album. This new studio effort follows their recent "Peel It Back" tour, which featured B-stage DJ sets with Boys Noize remixes of NIN classics like "Closer" and "Came Back Haunted." Fans can catch Nine Inch Noize live on the Sahara stage at Coachella on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, April 18.

Rob Zombie has released the official music video for "The Black Scorpion," the latest single from his eighth studio album, The Great Satan. Directed by Zombie himself, the clip marks the fifth visual accompaniment for the album, which debuted in late February. The video serves as a high-octane preview for the upcoming summer season, during which the multi-platinum artist will return to the stage.

This summer, Zombie is set to reunite with Marilyn Manson for the latest edition of the Freaks On Parade tour. The trek—recalling the duo's previous "Twins of Evil" pairings—will feature a powerhouse supporting lineup including Mongolian folk metal group The HU and industrial rockers Orgy. The tour is scheduled to kick off on August 20 in West Palm Beach, Florida, with dates running through late September across North America.

Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert has claimed "pure self-defense" in response to charges that he intentionally struck the father of vocalist Brendan Yates with his car. Ebert, 33, was arrested following a March 29 incident where he allegedly ran over 79-year-old William Yates near the family's residence. The guitarist currently faces charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault and is being held without bail.

According to police reports and neighbor surveillance footage, Ebert allegedly initiated the confrontation by shouting obscenities at the Yates family before swerving his vehicle at William. The report states that after William threw a rock at the car, Ebert reversed and accelerated toward the elderly man at a high speed, causing a severe leg injury. This incident appears to be part of a larger pattern of alleged harassment; Turnstile members previously sought peace orders against Ebert in 2022, citing concerns over his mental health and drug use. Ebert's new band, Experience, recently stated they intend to move forward with the release of their debut album despite his ongoing legal battles.

New Edition has officially won the 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fan vote, garnering over one million votes in a competitive ballot. The R&B pioneers finished ahead of a star-studded field, with Phil Collins, P!NK, Shakira, and Luther Vandross rounding out the top five. In total, more than 9.4 million votes were cast by fans worldwide during this year's induction cycle.

The top seven finishers—which also include INXS and Sade—will now form a collective "fan ballot" that will be tallied alongside the votes of the international voting body, consisting of over 1,200 artists, historians, and industry professionals. While winning the fan vote provides significant momentum, it does not guarantee induction. Other notable finishers on the ballot included Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, and The Black Crowes. The official Class of 2026 inductees will be revealed live on American Idol this coming Monday, April 13.

Kanye West has now been barred from entering the United Kingdom after his visa request was officially denied by the Home Office. A spokesperson for the department confirmed to the BBC that the decision was made because West’s presence "would not be conducive to the public good." The ruling effectively cancels his scheduled performance as the headliner for all three days of this summer’s Wireless Festival in London.
The denial follows intense pressure from UK officials, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer and London Mayor Sadiq Khan, as well as Jewish community leaders. The opposition stemmed from West's history of antisemitic rhetoric, which includes selling swastika-emblazoned merchandise and releasing a track titled "Heil Hitler" in 2025. Billy Idol has announced the next leg of his global tour, titled "It’s A Nice Day To… Tour Again!" Produced by Live Nation, the summer run of arenas and amphitheaters will kick off on August 7 at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The tour also includes a week-long residency at Las Vegas' Fontainebleau titled "Hot In The City: Las Vegas," running from August 28 through September 5.

The tour announcement follows the success of Idol's first full-length album of new music in over a decade, Dream Into It, which debuted at No. 7 on the U.S. Top Albums Chart. The record features contributions from longtime collaborator Steve Stevens, as well as guest appearances by Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart. Fans can also catch the new feature-length documentary, Billy Idol Should Be Dead, currently streaming on Hulu. Tickets for the new tour dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 10, at noon local time.
