Rainbow Kitten Surprise has released a GRiZ remix of their song “It’s Called: Freefall.” The remix was first played by GRiZ at Bonnaroo in 2023 after RKS had to cancel their set. In 2026, RKS lead singer Ela Melo surprised the crowd by joining GRiZ on stage at Bonnaroo to perform the remix together. The new version is now available on digital platforms.
The original “It’s Called: Freefall” came out in 2018 and is one of the band’s signature songs. It’s been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Rainbow Kitten Surprise also put out a new single, “Never Have I Ever,” in May. Their latest album is 2025’s bones. (Video contains uncensored profanity.)
