Reba McEntire Unveils 30th Anniversary Edition of ‘Starting Over’ Album

Reba McEntire is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her beloved covers album, Starting Over, with a new, expanded edition. The original album was released on October 3, 1995, and paid tribute to the artists who inspired her. It includes covers of classic songs like Dolly Parton’s “Starting Over Again,” The Supremes’ “You Keep Me Hanging On,” and Jimmy Webb’s “By The Time I Get To Phoenix.”

The new edition, set to release in January, will feature three never-before-heard tracks: “Heat Wave,” “Misty Blue,” and “Tulsa Time.” When it first came out, Starting Over debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and went Platinum, selling over one million copies. This release also marked the 20th anniversary of Reba’s first record deal, which she celebrated with a special TV event.

One standout track from the original album is “On My Own,” a collaboration with Trisha Yearwood, Linda Davis, and Martina McBride. This song was the lead single and the only one featuring other artists. Reba also worked with talented Nashville session musicians like pianist Steve Nathan and drummer Carlos Vega on the album.

This announcement follows another recent one from Reba. Last month, she revealed that her greatest hits collection, The Hits, will be released on vinyl for the first time. Reba’s last album of new music, Stronger Than The Truth, came out in 2019.

You can now order Reba McEntire’s Starting Over (30th Anniversary Edition) on vinyl!
