The Oct. 17 concert at the Hollywood Palladium will support the nonprofit Los Angeles music school.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Grohl, and Vince Staples will perform at a 25th anniversary benefit concert for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music on Oct. 17 at the Hollywood Palladium, hosted by comedian Marc Maron. Rather than holding its traditional private benefit dinner, the conservatory is opening the event to the public at the Palladium to mark the milestone. General ticket sales begin Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, with VIP packages and sponsorship options available on the event website.
Founded in 2001 by Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary, Keith “Tree” Barry, and Peter Weiss, the nonprofit school provides music instruction to more than 900 students each week in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the concert directly support the school, which offers scholarships providing free instruction, instruments, and supplies to over 200 students each year.
