Richie Sambora is hinting at potentially rejoining Bon Jovi, which will undoubtedly thrill fans.
The guitarist appeared on the U.K.’s Absolute Radio following his exit on The Masked Singer UK. When asked about rejoining the band in light of his performance with Bon Jovi following their 2018 Rock Hall induction, Sambora said, “We’re talking about it. I don’t think there’s any reason not to at this point.”
He added, “Jon [Bon Jovi] was having a hard time with his voice a little bit there and he needed to take a little bit of a breather.” Whether Sambora meant to shade JBJ with that comment is up for interpretation. However, he added, “I don’t know when Jon’s going to get his voice together and (when the Bon Jovi reunion is) going to happen, but we have to get out there and do it for the fans really. I feel a second obligation.”

Sambora is even up for writing new music again with the band. As far as whether he thinks Jon will let him do that, Sambora said, “Oh, if he doesn’t let me, he’s crazy. I’m on a tear … People think that I just come up with the guitar parts and something like that. But songwriting is conceptual. You have to have a concept. It’s a story.”
He continued, with a laugh, “And it can sometimes just come from looking out the window and observing, and a lot of times it comes from your own life, and for the most part of Bon Jovi, my life was a lot (more) colorful than everybody else’s in the band!”
While Sambora said in November 2021 that his role in Bon Jovi was “to shut the f— up,” he certainly has been more vocal lately about rejoining the band. In November 2022, Sambora told U.K. outlet Metro that it was a possibility a reunion could take place at the 2023 installment of Glastonbury.
Nothing has been said or confirmed by the Bon Jovi camp, but fans will likely be “Livin’ On A Prayer” for a reunion to happen.
