Needless to say, I am very excited for this new offering of the Stones 40 Licks. The Rolling Stones’ 2002 compilation album Forty Licks is finally coming to digital platforms on July 26! Two days later, a limited edition four-disc, 180-gram black vinyl version, packaged in a wide-spined gatefold sleeve. will be released. Fans can also stream new Dolby Atmos versions of the album’s 40 tracks.
Forty Licks was originally released to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary and to kick off their massive Licks tour. The two-and-a-half-hour collection includes 20 U.S. Top 10 singles and has sold over 7 million copies worldwide.
