Rostam, a former member of Vampire Weekend, is back with a new performance of the song “Young Lion.” This video is part of his upcoming film, American Stories: A Concert Film. “Young Lion” is the last track from Vampire Weekend’s 2013 album, Modern Vampires of the City, which was Rostam’s final record with the band before he left in 2016.
In a statement, Rostam shared that the piano melody in “Young Lion” was influenced by the Persian music he grew up listening to. Fans can catch the performance on YouTube.
The film will have screenings in New York City on May 5 and in Los Angeles on May 11. Both events will include a Q&A session with Rostam, giving fans a chance to engage with him directly.
Additionally, Rostam is set to release a new album titled American Stories on May 15. This is an exciting time for fans as they can look forward to both the film and the new music.
