Royal Blood: Hear Their Cover of Metallica’s ‘Sad But True’

Royal Blood is one of over 50 artists contributing to The Metallica Blacklist, a compilation of covers from Metallica’s self-titled 1991 album (aka: “The Black Album”), which turned 30 on August 12.

In a brief statement on their cover (embedded below), Royal Blood said, “It was an honour to be asked to be a part of this, and we’re very happy to be supporting the All Within My Hands Foundation and Chestnut Tree House [with the proceeds from our cover.]”

Half of the proceeds from the entire Metallica covers collection will benefit the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, while each artist participating gets to choose their own charity to benefit from the other 50 percent of the proceeds from their cover.

In addition to The Metallica Blacklist, Metallica is also reissuing The Black Album. Both titles are due out September 10 and are currently available for pre-order at Metallica.com.
