The Jersey Shore will shine teal this summer as the ninth annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City 5K returns on Saturday, July 19, 2025, bringing together runners, walkers, survivors, and supporters in the fight against ovarian cancer. Hosted by the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation (SROCF), this impactful event takes place at Excursion Park (2 41st St., Sea Isle City, NJ), starting at 7:15 a.m.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to take a morning stroll with friends and family, the event offers something for everyone — a 5K run, a two-mile Family Fun Walk, and heartfelt moments like the Survivor Ceremony.
More Than a Race — It’s a Movement
The Sandy Sprint is more than just a fitness event. It’s a day of community, awareness, and hope. Since its inception, the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation has raised over $6 million in research grants and continues to educate millions about early detection and treatment.
This year’s race is once again hosted by Monica Cryan, PHL17 Meteorologist, and features a stirring live National Anthem performance by Ashli Rice, known for her role as the Philadelphia Union’s anthem vocalist. After the race, participants are invited to celebrate their efforts with a post-race gathering at the Oar House, a local favorite.
