The film actor will join the Broadway cast at the Lyric Theatre for a 17-week run starting in February 2027.
Rupert Grint, who portrayed Ron Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films, is returning to the role for a 17-week engagement in Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Grint is scheduled to perform at the Lyric Theatre from Feb. 2, 2027, through May 30, 2027. The play continues the franchise’s storyline 19 years after the original series, following the children of Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Draco.
Grint joins the production following fellow film cast member Tom Felton, who has played adult Draco Malfoy in the Broadway show over the past year. Felton is expected to exit the production on Jan. 3, 2027, meaning the two actors’ Broadway runs are not scheduled to overlap.
