Rush Hits the Road Again After a Decade: First Tour in 10 Years

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush have often been asked if the band would tour again, and now they have answered with a big yes! They’ve announced the Fifty Something tour, their first since the R40 tour ended in 2015. This will also be their first tour since drummer Neil Peart passed away in 2020.

“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil,” Geddy shared. “After everything that has happened since that last show, we’ve realized we really miss it. It’s time to celebrate 50-something years of Rush music.”

Anika Nilles, who has worked with the late Jeff Beck, will be on drums for this tour. Geddy describes her as “an incredible drummer and musician.”

The tour will visit seven cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Each night, the band will perform two sets, with new songs for every show. The tour kicks off on June 7 in Los Angeles and wraps up on September 17 in Cleveland.

Fans can get early access to tickets through a Rush artist presale starting on October 13 at 10 a.m. local time for the U.S. and Canada, and on October 16 at 12 p.m. local time for Mexico. To participate, fans need to register in advance. General ticket sales begin on October 17 at 12 p.m. local time for the U.S. and Canada, and 11 a.m. local time for Mexico.
