Rush Releases Fresh Remix of ‘Distant Early Warning’

Rush has just released a fresh mix of “Distant Early Warning” from the upcoming reissue of their 1984 album, *Grace Under Pressure*. This track is a sneak peek at the Super Deluxe Editions, set to hit stores on March 13. Fans can choose from five different packages: a Super Deluxe Edition with four CDs and a Blu-ray, a five-LP Super Deluxe Edition with a Blu-ray, a Super Deluxe Digital Edition, a Dolby Atmos Digital Edition, or a video of *Grace Under Pressure Tour: Live in Toronto 1984*.

The original album was co-produced by Peter Henderson and recorded at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec. This was the fourth time the band worked at that location. Lead singer and bassist Geddy Lee shared, “Our songwriting had taken us to a different musical place.” He noted that they expanded their sound with new technologies, including electronic drums, while adapting to a new producer’s style. The band created eight tracks that showcased this technological shift.

In exciting news, co-founders Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson are hitting the road again for a headline tour. This tour will celebrate the band’s music, their history, and honor late drummer Neil Peart’s life and legacy. It’s their first tour together in 11 years since the R40 Tour wrapped up at the Forum in Los Angeles. Peart passed away in January 2020 after a battle with brain cancer.

The tour kicks off with four shows at the Forum in early June, and Anika Nilles will join them. Nilles is a talented German drummer, composer, and producer with four solo albums to her name. Fans are in for a treat!
