Ryland James Teams Up With Ralph To Cover Dolly Parton’s ‘A Christmas To Remember’

JUNO award nominee and platinum selling artist Ryland James has released his very special holiday track, “A Christmas To Remember Ft. Ralph.” James paired up with the pop singer and notorious songwriter Ralph to cover the iconic Dolly Parton holiday song.

Recorded in Montreal and produced by Connor Seidel, the track which was originally a duet between Parton and Kenny Rogers, marks James’ first ever official duet and his debut Dolly Parton cover. James said, “I’m honored that it [‘A Christmas To Remember’] gets to be one of Dolly’s greatest holiday classics. There was just something so special about the song the first time I listened to it that made me want to take a shot at singing it this year.” He continued, “It took me back in time to all my favorite holiday memories and had me dancing like a maniac every time it would come on in my playlist.”

When it came time to choose an artist to join James on the song, Ralph immediately came to mind. “I knew of a great Toronto-based artist named Ralph I thought would sound beautiful singing it with me,” James said. “So we got into the studio in July to record with Connor Seidel, an incredible Montreal producer who I’ve worked with in the past, and they both truly crushed it. The track came together perfectly and turned into something I’m really proud to show the world this holiday season.”

For Ralph the combination of a Dolly Parton song and Ryland James was hard to pass up. “When Ryland reached out to me and asked if I wanted to sing a Dolly Parton cover…I was obviously thrilled,” Ralph remarked. “I kinda like that I exclusively sing Dolly Parton holiday songs now. Working with him was a dream, he’s a true doll and I’ve literally never heard a voice like his – it sort of blew my mind.”
