SALT CREEK RELEASE “THE VINE” VIDEO
OUT OF THE SKY AVAILABLE NOW VIA TOOTH & NAIL RECORDS
BAND TOURING THIS SPRING
Lincoln, Nebraska-based alt rock quintet SALT CREEK — vocalist Chase Thompson, guitarist Nathan Richardson, bassist Zach Chrastil, and drummer Nathan Skinner — have released the video for “The Vine.” Watch it here.
The song appears on their new album Out of the Sky, which is out now via Tooth & Nail Records.
“For the music video, we just wanted to do something fun,” the band explains. “‘The Vine’ is about seeing someone you’ve known for years in a different light, so this video is a different perspective of that conversation. Our friend Kay (Dargen) came up with a goofy idea and we just went with it!”
Inspired by ’90s grunge and their midwestern roots, Salt Creek write songs that are introspective, driving, and refreshingly relatable. From naming their band after the town’s local river to letting their music influence each song’s lyrical theme, Salt Creek reach close by for their sources of inspiration. By appreciating where they came from and observing where they are now, the group has built a reputation for writing songs that are authentic as it gets. The foundation of their sound is amplified guitars and crisp bass lines, and lyrics that speak to the human spirit.
