Multi-platinum, GRAMMY Award, BRIT, Golden Globe, and Oscar-winning artist and songwriter Sam Smith and acclaimed iHeart Music, ASCAP, and Billboard Award winning R&B singer/songwriter Summer Walker have released their version of “You Will Be Found,” the latest song to be unveiled from the Dear Evan Hansen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). The project will be released September 24 through Interscope Records.
Earlier this month, GRAMMY Award nominated, multi-platinum selling recording artist SZA released “The Anonymous Ones,” the latest song to be teased from the Dear Evan Hansen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).
A brand-new song made specifically for the Universal Pictures release, “The Anonymous Ones” was written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Amandla Stenberg. A co-star in the movie, Stenberg’s performance of the song as featured in the film has also been released.
“The Anonymous Ones” is a song that reminds us that everyone, even people who seem to have it all together, have their own struggles and insecurities and fears. But when we open up to each other we realize how much we can help one another just by being there for each other. Dear Evan Hansen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will be released September 24 through Interscope Records.
The full lineup of artists has been revealed for the soundtrack, including Sam Smith with Summer Walker, SZA, Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay, FINNEAS, and Tori Kelly. Plus, the 16-track album features new recordings by the film cast. Among the new songs, the Soundtrack also includes “A Little Closer” performed by Colton Ryan.
Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway in December 2016 and became a sensational success, winning six Tony Awards, including those for Best Musical and for Ben Platt as Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. The Broadway cast album went on to win a Grammy. Platt returns as Evan Hansen on the big screen, as an anxious, isolated high school student longing for understanding and a sense of belonging amid the chaos and cruelty of the social media age.
