Top Gun: Maverick is full of all sorts of easter eggs and nods to the original, but one little moment caught the eye of Sammy Hagar.
“The Red Rocker” shared a clip from the blockbuster sequel to Twitter pointing out the “I Can’t Drive 55” sticker on Pete “Maverick” Mitchell’s motorcycle. Hagar wrote, “My album ‘Danger Zone’ came out 6 years before Kenny Loggin’s theme song for the first Top Gun, but look what made it into the sequel Top Gun: Maverick! Good to see everything about Maverick’s motorcycle stayed the same over the last 36 years!”
