Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor has confirmed that she and her boyfriend Mason McWhorter have broken up.
The 24-year-old reality star addressed their split in an emotional TikTok on Saturday (February 7).
“I feel like it’s kind of obvious. I think everyone’s already noticed, and there’s pages already making videos about it, so I just wanted to hop on here to kind of set the record straight on something,” she started the video.

Layla continued, “Obviously, me and Mason are no longer together. It’s still super fresh.”
The mom-of-two said she mainly wanted to set the record straight and make it clear there is “no bad blood” between her and Mason.
“I genuinely want and wish nothing but the best for Mason,” she said, before explaining that things weren’t working between them and they seem to be “on two different paths right now.”
Mason was the first man that Layla dated after divorcing her ex-husband Clayton Wessell and his closeness to her two sons has made the breakup extra challenging.
“Mason was a really big part of me and my boys’ lives for the past almost year. We went through a lot in this last year, to be honest. But I’m grateful for everything, and I’m grateful he was a part of my life for how long he was,” she added.
Layla asked fans to be “nice and kind” to Mason.
Mason is the brother of Chase McWhorter, who is the ex-husband of Layla‘s co-star Miranda McWhorter.
The comments on Layla‘s video were filled with sweet messages from her Secret Lives co-stars and Chase also left a comment.
“Love u so much! This sucks! But u and mase both are the best,” he said.
Jessi Draper wrote “Love you so much,” and Taylor Frankie Paul commented, “We’re here for you my girl.”
