The actress faces assault charges after an incident involving flight attendants on a Delta flight to New York.
Actress Selma Blair was arrested and faces assault charges following an alleged altercation with flight attendants aboard Delta flight 938 from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday. Port Authority Police responded to John F. Kennedy International Airport after the aircraft arrived at the gate. According to Port Authority officials, two flight attendants suffered injuries and another was transported to the hospital, with pilots having alerted air traffic controllers prior to landing that one person had a bloody nose and another had bite marks. Delta reported no operational impact, noting the flight arrived ahead of schedule before being met by law enforcement. The FBI and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident, which resulted in a summons answerable to Brooklyn federal court.
This follows a prior incident in June 2016, when Blair was hospitalized and removed from a plane on a stretcher, later publicly apologizing and explaining she had blacked out after mixing alcohol with medication. Blair, known for her roles in films such as Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde, and The Sweetest Thing, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 and announced she was in remission in 2021.
