Sex Pistols and Frank Carter Postpone North American Tour Following Steve Jones’ Wrist Injury

The reunited Sex Pistols, now featuring vocalist Frank Carter, have postponed their North American tour due to guitarist Steve Jones breaking his wrist.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Jones shared the news. “I’ve got some good news and bad news,” he wrote. “The bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so we won’t be doing any shows for a while.”

He added, “The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. And another good thing is that I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.”

The tour was set to kick off on September 16 in Dallas and would have been the band’s first extended live run in the U.S. since 2003. The dates will be rescheduled once Jones has fully recovered.

The Sex Pistols announced their reunion in 2024, featuring original members Jones, bassist Glen Matlock, and drummer Paul Cook, with Carter stepping in for John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon. Stay tuned for updates on the new tour dates!
