The Sex Pistols’ legendary album, *Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols*, is getting a high-fidelity audio release. This is the only studio album from the iconic English punk rock band, and it’s now part of Rhino High Fidelity’s series of limited-edition vinyl reissues. There are 5,000 individually numbered 180-gram black vinyl copies available at Rhino.com.
This reissue includes new liner notes from producer Chris Thomas. Released in 1977, *Never Mind the Bollocks* features classic tracks like “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “God Save the Queen.” The album debuted at #1 in the U.K., even though many record stores refused to sell it due to its controversial title.
The band broke up just months after the album’s release, calling it quits in 1978 during their U.S. tour. While it didn’t make a huge splash in the U.S. at first, the album eventually sold over 1 million copies and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. In 2015, it was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
This reissue is a must-have for fans of punk rock and music history. Don’t miss your chance to grab a piece of this iconic album!
