​Shirley Manson of Garbage praises Melissa Auf der Maur’s ‘magnificent’ memoir in review  

Shirley Manson, the frontwoman of Garbage, has shared her thoughts on Melissa Auf der Maur’s upcoming memoir, “Even the Good Girls Will Cry.” In a heartfelt Instagram post, Manson expressed her admiration for Auf der Maur, the bassist of Hole.

“I read your book with a feral hunger,” Manson wrote. She felt that Auf der Maur’s story of survival resonated with her own experiences. Manson praised Auf der Maur as a “fierce and mystic goddess” and appreciated the book’s honest and bold storytelling.

Manson reflected on their shared experiences in the music scene, saying, “So grateful to have run with the wolves alongside you during the same cultural riptide.” She celebrated the journey they both took, noting, “What a time it was. What a time it remains.”

She raised a toast to the “good girls” they once were and the “good witchy women” they have become. Manson also acknowledged Auf der Maur’s talent and dedication to rock and roll, highlighting her grace and glamour.

“Even the Good Girls Will Cry” is set to be released on March 17. Fans of both artists can look forward to this exciting memoir that promises to share powerful stories from their time in the music industry.
