Sierra Ferrell, Amythyst Kiah, Marcus King Among 2022 FloydFest Line-Up

Rounder artists Sierra Ferrell and Amythyst Kiah and Fantasy’s Marcus King are among the stars who will be part of July’s five-day FloydFest, the festival in Floyd, Virginia.

They’ll join Melissa Etheridge, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lake Street Dive, Trampled By Turtles, and a host of others at the event in the Blue Ridge Mountains from July 27-31. Festival organizers Across-the-Way Productions declare: “Our mission is to the be the best music experience of our time.”

Newly-announced additions include Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams, Yonder Mountain String Band, the Brothers Comatose, Acoustic Syndicate, Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast, the Judy Chops, and Big Daddy Love. They join Morgan Wade, the Infamous Stringdusters, the California Honeydrops, Aaron Frazer, Durand Jones and the Indications, Neal Francis, and countless others.

Also in the 2022 line-up are 49 Winchester and Sexbruise?, the winner and runner-up respectively in this year’s FloydFest On-the-Rise competition, which is voted on by festival-goers. More additions will be confirmed in the new year, and in subsequent announcements over the next few months.

Event publicity notes: “The pulse of FloydFest’s next chapter starts now – five days of Music, Magic and Mountains, in our picturesque paradise at Milepost 170.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd, Va. – featuring purposeful programming, vibrant and varied vendors, quality craft brews and chews, healing arts, workshops and whimsy, camping and children’s activities, outdoor adventure, onsite art installations and a final lineup featuring 100 artists performing on nine stages over five days.”

Many ticket types are already in short supply, but five-day general admission tickets are currently available at $250, four-day (Thurs-Sun) at $225, and three-day (Fri-Sun) at $200. Prices will increase on New Year’s Day, to coincide with the availability of single-day tickets. Prices are due to rise again on April 1 and July 1, 2022, and for the final time when gates open at FloydFest on July 27.
