The band is partnering with Sweetwater for singer auditions while releasing a 40th anniversary reissue of “40 Seasons.”
Hard rock band Skid Row has partnered with music retailer Sweetwater to conduct a worldwide audition for a new lead singer following the departure of Erik Grönwall in March 2024. Grönwall, who joined the band in 2022, stepped down to focus on his health and full recovery after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2021.
Alongside the vocalist search, the band is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a remastered edition of the 16-track compilation 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row. Originally released in 1998, the album features hits such as “Youth Gone Wild” and “18 And Life,” alongside demos, remixes, and a 1995 live track recorded at London’s Astoria. The reissue drops Nov. 6 in the U.S. and Dec. 4 internationally through BMG and Rhino Entertainment.
