Slash Hints at New Guns N’ Roses Music

Guns N’ Roses have some new music in the works, according to Slash.

The guitar icon said in a new interview, “I want to go in and cut a whole brand new record at some point, probably sooner than later. But other than that, we have stuff [that’s still] got to come out. So that’s gonna be coming out piecemeal over the next… few months or something like that. So that’s basically it. We have one more tour left to do next summer, and then that’ll free us up to be able to go in and work on a new record.”

GN’R released two new tracks in 2021: “Absurd” and “Hard Skool.” “Absurd” was a reworking of “Silkworms,” a previously unreleased track reportedly from the recording sessions for Chinese Democracy. “Hard Skool” was also another track that originated from the recording sessions of Chinese Democracy.

This isn’t the first time in 2022 Slash has talked about new Guns N’ Roses music. In January, the guitarist told Classic Rock, “There’s new Guns material coming out as we speak, and we’ll probably keep putting it out until the entire record’s worth of stuff is done and then put it out solid. It’s cool. I’m enjoying working on the stuff and having a good time doing it.”
