Slash is teaming up to executive produce a new documentary titled *Black Zombie*. Directed by Maya Annik Bedward, the film explores the hidden origins of the zombie, presenting it as a symbol of survival and spiritual resistance.
In a statement, Slash shared, “I’ve always believed horror reflects the fears and truths buried in society. *Black Zombie* uncovers the real origins behind one of horror’s most iconic figures, and I’m proud to help bring that story forward.”
The documentary is set to premiere on March 13 at the 2026 South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
Known for his legendary guitar riffs in songs like “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Slash is also a big fan of horror. He has been involved with the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, providing the score for the Universal Monsters haunted house.
