Slayer’s iconic album *Seasons in the Abyss* was released on October 9, 1990, making it 35 years old this Thursday. To celebrate this milestone, the band has launched a video series where they reflect on the album. In each video, vocalist and bassist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King discuss one of the ten tracks from *Seasons in the Abyss*. You can check it out now at Slayer.net.
*Seasons in the Abyss* is Slayer’s fifth studio album and their third collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. This follows their earlier works, *Reign in Blood* (1986) and *South of Heaven* (1988). It also marks the last album featuring the original lineup of Araya, King, guitarist Jeff Hanneman, and drummer Dave Lombardo until 2006’s *Christ Illusion*.
