Sleep Token wowed fans at Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena with their cover of “Dancing in the Dark.” The masked frontman, known as Vessel, sang and played keyboard on the Bruce Springsteen classic. This performance was part of their U.S. tour, which kicked off at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, where they also debuted new songs from their latest album, *Even in Arcadia*. The tracks “Provider” and “Infinite Baths” made their live debut that night.
*Even in Arcadia*, released in May, has been a huge success, reaching number one in 11 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Australia. Sleep Token is no stranger to covering other artists. In 2017, they performed Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” and have included songs like Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and Billie Eilish’s “When The Party’s Over” in their past sets.
Springsteen’s original version of “Dancing in the Dark” peaked at number two on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1984 and has achieved four-times Platinum status in the U.S. and three-times Platinum in the U.K.
Tonight, Sleep Token will perform at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, with Thornhill opening the show. The tour will continue through Cincinnati, Chicago, and Denver, wrapping up at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on October 11. Fans can find more information and tickets online.
