Sleep Token brought their sold-out arena tour to Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena on Wednesday night. Being so close to New Jersey inspired them to add a special cover to their set list. Fan footage on YouTube shows the band’s masked frontman, Vessel, playing keyboards and performing Bruce Springsteen’s classic “Dancing in the Dark.” This cover served as an intro to their song “Rain.”
“Dancing in the Dark” is from Springsteen’s iconic album Born in the U.S.A. and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video is famous for featuring a young Courteney Cox before her Friends fame.
Sleep Token kicked off their U.S. arena tour in Duluth, Georgia, on September 16. The tour supports their #1 album, Even in Arcadia, which was released in May. After Philadelphia, the tour will head to Detroit, Michigan, this Friday.
