Corey Taylor is always full of surprises, and the latest is in the form of a new Slipknot single, which dropped at midnight Friday (Nov. 5). In addition to the new song, called “The Chapeltown Rag,” Slipknot have also shared updated masks in a new promotional photo, with Taylor’s taking the most dramatic turn.
Slipknot will perform “The Chapeltown Rag” live for the first time tonight (Nov. 5) at Knotfest L.A. The show marks the group’s first time headlining a full-sized stadium.
Knotfest L.A. will take place at the Bank of California Stadium, with support from Killswitch Engage, Bring Me the Horizon, Fever 333, Code Orange, Vended (featuring some Slipknot members’ sons) and Cherry Bombs (featuring Taylor’s wife, Alicia Taylor). For those who can’t make it to the show, the set will air as a livestream on Saturday (Nov. 6). Find tickets here, and stream the fresh Slipknot single below.
Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan have been teasing a new Slipknot album all year, so chances are “The Chapeltown Rag” will appear on an upcoming set, although that hasn’t been confirmed. The band’s last studio album was 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind.
