Some Disney World Fans Think Aerosmith’s Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Should Feature a New Band

Aerosmith has been the star of Disney World’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster since its opening in 1999, but some avid park fans think the ride should feature a new act.

Per Disney park fan site Inside the Magic, “Aerosmith is still a popular band and well-known, but their pinnacle was in the late ’90s, and at times, Guests have brought up the idea of retheming the attraction to a different group.”

While the site notes “…that many Disney fans do not want to see Aerosmith changed as the band involved in the coaster,” it did ask some of its readers for new band/act suggestions. Those suggestions included Metallica, AC/DC, Queen, Def Leppard, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses, Panic at the Disco, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Lady Gaga and the Jonas Brothers. Other fans suggested changing the coaster to highlight popular Disney properties like Monsters Inc. and other Pixar films.

Whether the powers that be at Disney will consider changing the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to a new theme is unknown. However, it is very promising to see, at the very least, that most avid park-goers seem still want to see the ride the center around a rock band and don’t really want a genre change altogether.
