Spinal Tap is back with a new album, titled The End Continues, set to release on September 12. This date also marks the premiere of their long-awaited sequel film, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, in theaters. The album cover pays homage to a classic design, making it instantly recognizable to fans.
The End Continues features a mix of new tracks and re-recorded favorites, with some exciting special guests. One highlight is a new version of “Stonehenge” featuring Elton John. In the trailer for Spinal Tap II, we see the main cast—Rob Reiner, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest—back in action. The film features a reunion show at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, which is happening because of a cancellation. According to Shearer’s character, Derek Smalls, the canceled event was “An Evening with Stormy Daniels.”
And yes, Spinal Tap is still looking for a drummer for the reunion show since their last drummer “sneezed himself into oblivion.” Get ready for a hilarious comeback!
