Spiritbox is heading back to the Grammys for the third year in a row! After being nominated in 2024 and 2025, the Canadian metal band is up for Best Metal Performance at the 2026 ceremony with their song “Soft Spine.”
Guitarist Mike Stringer shared his excitement about the nomination, saying it feels like being “invited to the big kids’ table.” He told fans, “It’s a huge honor. You think about it your whole life, and when it happens, you’re like, ‘Holy s*.’ It’s unbelievable.”
The experience of attending the Grammys is even more thrilling. Stringer described it as a whirlwind, saying, “It’s just a whole thing, it’s crazy. You never think you’ll be involved, and then you get there, and it’s go go go. You’re surrounded by people you never imagined you’d meet, with cameras everywhere and everyone dressed to the nines.”
As for whether this will be their lucky year, Stringer is just grateful for the recognition. “Honestly, if we’re invited, that’s incredible. If we win, that’s also amazing, but just being recognized by the board is nuts.”
The 2026 Grammys will air on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. Spiritbox will perform during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony, which starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on YouTube. Don’t miss it!
