Suzanne Somers passed away this morning (10/15) from an aggressive form of breast cancer; She was 76. Somers was best known for her role of “Chrissy Snow” on Three’s Company and “Foster Lambert” on Step by Step.
A statement released by her longtime publicist for her family read: “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years. Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family,”
The statement continued, “Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”
According to the publicist, a private family burial will occur this week, and a memorial will be held in November.
Somers’s official website is for the goods she sells, like Gut Renew and Thigh Master. There is nothing at press time about her death on the site, as well as her Instagram account, which only shows ads for what she is selling and not much about her personal life or death today (10/15).

Somers began acting in minor roles during the late 1960s and early 1970s, including on various talk shows promoting her book of poetry and bit parts in movies, such as “Blonde in the white Thunderbird” in American Graffiti. Somers also appeared in The Rockford Files in 1974 and had an uncredited role as a topless “pool girl” in Magnum Force in 1973. She also had a guest-starring role on The Six Million Dollar Man in the 1977 episode “Cheshire Project.” Somers played a passenger on the first episode of The Love Boat and made a guest appearance in a 1976 episode of One Day at a Time.
She later landed her most famous role as the ditzy blonde “Chrissy Snow” on the ABC sitcom Three’s Company in 1977. She also found fame as an infomercial spokeswoman for the Thighmaster and as the author for several self-help books.
