System Of A Down to Headline ‘Sick New World’ Festival in 2026 After Taking a Year Off

System Of A Down is set to take the stage at next year’s Sick New World festival in Las Vegas. The exciting news was revealed by Serj Tankian during a signing event at his coffee shop in LA. This marks a significant return for the band after a quiet 2025.

In the past, their performances at the Vegas festival have attracted huge crowds. However, the 2025 event was canceled due to slow ticket sales. Fans got a sneak peek of what’s coming during this summer’s stadium shows, where hints were displayed on large screens. Back in 2024, drummer John Dolmayan also dropped some subtle hints about their plans to return.

While April usually brings warm weather and music to Vegas, fans are still waiting for the exact dates for the 2026 festival. In an interview with Tom Power, Serj shared, “When I became obsessed with music finally, I became someone who binged and purged music. So, for three months, I would only listen to one type of music.”

The band will also hit Europe hard, starting on June 29, 2026, at Stockholm’s Strawberry Arena. They will perform two nights in three major cities: Paris will kick things off, followed by two shows in London. The final performances will take place in Warsaw on July 18 and 19.

Supporting acts include Queens of the Stone Age and Acid Bath. Tickets are selling fast, and the CEO of System of a Down’s management company, Velvet Hammer, co-founded the festival. This tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest summer events of 2026. Fans can check out the full schedule and grab tickets soon!
