Taylor Hawkins Grammy Tribute Gets Mixed Reaction on Twitter

Foo Fighters were slated to perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards, but following the sudden death of Taylor Hawkins, the band canceled their Grammy performance and all future performances.

In place of their performance, Grammy producers announced a planned tribute to Hawkins saying, “We will honor his memory in some way. We want to figure out what is the right thing to do that is respectful to everyone involved. We’re patient. We’ll be planning right up until the very end.”

An extended video tribute was played before the “In Memoriam” segment of the Grammy Awards which honored many musical legends that passed away since last year’s Grammy Awards. It was a move that was met with mixed reactions online with some fans moved by the gesture and others feeling not enough was done to honor Hawkins.

Below are some of the notable responses on Twitter.
