A Taylor Hawkins tribute is in the works for the 2022 Grammy Awards taking place this Sunday night (April 3.)
Per Variety, “Producers are in the midst of sorting out how the telecast will pay tribute to Hawkins. Foo Fighters had already committed to perform on this year’s Grammy telecast, although the group has canceled all concerts for the foreseeable future.”
CBS’ Executive Vice President of Special Jack Sussman told Variety, “We will honor his memory in some way. We want to figure out what is the right thing to do that is respectful to everyone involved. We’re patient. We’ll be planning right up until the very end.”
Any clues of what the tribute will look like are currently unknown. Foo Fighters are nominated for three Grammy Awards:
-Best Rock Performance for “Making A Fire”
-Best Rock Song for “Waiting On A War”
-Best Rock Album for Medicine At Midnight
The 2022 Grammy Awards will air live on CBS on Sunday, April 3 starting at 8 PM ET. The ceremony will also stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
