Taylor Momsen, the lead singer of The Pretty Reckless, was hospitalized after being bitten by a spider while in Mexico City, where she was opening for AC/DC. She shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of a rash on her leg and writing, “Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO.” Despite her condition, she expressed her determination to perform, saying, “But the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City!”
In a follow-up post, she mentioned spending the night in the hospital and thanked the doctors for their care. Momsen was bitten on April 8, just a day after the concert. Interestingly, this was not her first animal bite on tour with AC/DC; she was previously bitten by a bat during a show in Spain.
The Pretty Reckless is scheduled to play their third and final show in Mexico City on Wednesday. They will also join AC/DC for a U.S. stadium tour starting in July. In exciting news for fans, the band will release a new single titled “Love Me” on Friday, which will be part of their upcoming album, Dear God, set to drop on June 26. This album follows their 2021 release, Death By Rock and Roll, and includes singles like “For I Am Death” and “When I Wake Up.” The Pretty Reckless will also embark on their own U.S. headlining tour in July, between their dates with AC/DC.
