A judge threw out the promoter’s case over a canceled 2023 show due to a lack of jurisdiction in Texas.
A Texas court has dismissed a $277,000 lawsuit against Hollywood Vampires Touring regarding a canceled 2023 concert. According to TMZ, Slovakian promoter Sten Hard filed the suit to cover financial losses after the band withdrew on the day of the show, citing concerns over the venue’s suitability. Hard had previously dropped individual band members Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Joe Perry as defendants from the case.
The judge concluded that the band’s touring company lacked sufficient or meaningful ties to Texas for the court to exercise authority over it. Because the lawsuit was thrown out strictly on jurisdictional grounds, the court did not rule on whether Hard’s financial claims against the entity had merit.
