The Dare Shares New Track ‘You’re Invited’ Ahead Of Debut Album Hannah Zwick

Charli xcx thinks The Dare is “with it,” and he’s just dropped a new song to prove it. “You’re Invited” is the latest single to be released from his upcoming debut album, What’s Wrong With New York?, set for release on September 6th on Republic Records.

The new single is accompanied by a video, directed by Jake Lazovick. The clip showcases the party-before-the-party, as a group gets ready to go out for a night in NYC. And who’s performing at the rooftop party but The Dare himself, clad in his suit and skinny tie.

Fans may have also recently seen The Dare in another music video: he makes a cameo in Charli xcx’s “Guess” remix with Billie Eilish. He produced the original version of the track as well as the remix. The latter is expected to hit the top of the U.K. singles chart this week.

On top of “You’re Invited,” The Dare has shared two other tracks, “Perfume” and “Good Time” from the upcoming album. He will embark on his first-ever headline tour of North America this fall in celebration of the new music with nearly every date already sold out. The run of dates kicks off at New York’s Webster Hall on September 5th with further dates in Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and many more. Tickets and more information can be found on The Dare’s website. Before the headline tour, The Dare warmed up with a slew of nights opening for Charli XCX, most recently at her Boiler Room in Ibiza as well as at her first-ever Brat live performances in New York and Los Angeles where he debuted a brand-new live show.

What’s Wrong With New York was recorded over the last year between The Dare’s home and studio in New York. The album features songwriting and production collaborations with Dylan Brady (100 gecs), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, FKA twigs, Dua Lipa), Romil Hemnani (Brockhampton), Chris Greatti (Yves Tumor, Yeule), Isaac Eiger of Strange Ranger and more.
