‘The Girls Aloud Show’ Gets Deluxe Blu-Ray Box Set Release

They toured the United Kingdom and Ireland last year, but now you’ll be able to watch Girls Aloud from anywhere in the world. The iconic girl group announced the release of The Girls Aloud Show, their 30-date 2024 tour, on Blu-ray as a special deluxe box set. The deluxe set will officially be available for purchase on June 13, and is available for pre-order now.

The deluxe edition is a treat for fans of Girls Aloud. The set will consist of four discs, including a Blu-Ray, a DVD, and 2CDs of the show, housed with a 62-page rainbow foil hardback photobook featuring exclusive photos and extensive sleeve notes of the tour. Filmed at their June 2024 show at the O2 arena in London, the concert will show Girls Aloud performing some of their biggest hits from their career, including “Sound Of The Underground,” “Something Kinda Oooh,” and “Love Machine.” The DVD and Blu-Ray also include the visuals displayed during the concert as a bonus, as well as the 38-minute “The Whole Damn Show Megamix.”

Girls Aloud was formed in 2002 via the competition talent show Popstars: The Rivals, and featured members Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. The group was an immediate smash, with their 2003 debut album Sound Of The Underground becoming their first platinum-certified album. “I believe the five of us were meant to be together,” Cheryl told The Independent in 2023. “When you mixed our personalities, I think we were relatable to a lot of young girls at that time. And the music was fun and kind of timeless because it captured a moment of the Noughties. That’s what I’m most proud of.” Though they would go on hiatus in 2009, the group then reunited from 2012 until 2013, and then again in 2023. Harding tragically passed away from breast cancer at the age of 39 in 2021, and the group paid tribute to her throughout their run of concerts for ‘The Girls Aloud Show.’ They also memorialize her on the Blu-Ray, including “I’ll Stand By You (Sarah’s Version)” as a special bonus feature.

Order The Girls Aloud Show now.
