The Jonas Brothers are set to release a new single titled “Slow Motion” with Marshmello on January 17. The band revealed the collaboration to host Ryan Seacrest before taking to the stage for their slot on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The band has also since announced the track’s imminent arrival on social media.
Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas took to the stage just after the clock struck midnight, to see in 2025 with a live set that began with a rendition of “Play My Music” from Music” from the 2008 Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock.
Along with their Disney Channel throwback song, the Jonas Brothers also performed their 2019 hit “Sucker” and covered “Dreams” by The Cranberries to rapturous applause.
In addition to revealing the new Marshmello collaboration, Nick also mentioned his upcoming Broadway run in the show The Last Five Years, which he said he “absolutely can’t wait to do.”
Kevin also added that the trio will be touring in 2025 and that their New Year’s Eve performance would include “a lot of songs that you’ll hear on the next tour. Kind of a sneak peek of what’s coming.”
Along with the Jonas Brothers, Mickey Guyton, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, TLC, Kapo, Carrie Underwood and Rita Ora performed in Times Square to celebrate the New Year.
Nick Jonas also spoke about Camp Rock in an interview with People in August, saying he was “amused” by clips from the movie going viral more than 15 years after its release.
“I understand the impact the film had and has had,” he said. “And I am super amused, I would say, by the clips from it that have since gone viral now on TikTok and other places.”
“I’m going to say ‘amusing’ because I also think it’s hilarious. I remember thinking of that one in particular, the sort of stomp moment. I remember thinking while we were shooting, ‘This is really strange.’”
