The Killers, Ed Sheeran and Tyler Childers have been announced as the headline acts for the 2024 Boston Calling festival. In addition to the headline acts, this year’s lineup also includes notable acts such as Hozier, Megan Thee Stallion, Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB, Leon Bridges, Reneé Rapp, and Khruangbin.
The annual music festival returns from May 24-26, 2024 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts.
This year showcasing a wide variety of talent, Boston Calling 2024 will also feature performances from The Revivalists, Young the Giant, Blondshell, Chappell Roan, Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, Jessie Murph, Royel Otis, Francis of Delirium, Ric Wilson, Madi Diaz, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and more.
Tickets to Boston Calling 2024, including single-day and three-day GA, GA+, and VIP passes, will go on sale beginning Thursday, January 11th at 10:00 a.m. ET. Visit the event’s official website for further information.
Boston Calling Music Festival debuted in May 2013 and previously took place twice a year, May and September, at City Hall Plaza. The festival reportedly attracted 20,000–22,000 fans with its earlier editions, eventually drawing roughly 40,000 festival goers in 2017. In May 2016, Boston Calling announced it would move to the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston in May 2017 and transition to one festival per year, with the new space allowing the addition of more music stages and the inclusion of stand-up comedy performers.
Last year’s edition of Boston Calling featured Foo Fighters (in their first major concert since drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death the previous year) along with The Lumineers and Paramore, with co-headlining slots taken by Alanis Morissette and Queens of the Stone Age.
As is traditional, music festival announcements are heating up in the wake of the world celebrating the New Year. This week, it was also revealed that Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Maggie Rogers are among the big names confirmed for the this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival: the internationally-acclaimed camping festival, taking place June 13-16, 2024 on the Bonnaroo Farm, located just 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, TN.
