The Lathums Announce Rescheduled 2021 Tour Dates

The Lathums

After postponing their spring tour, amid the pandemic, rising British rockers The Lathums have announced rescheduled UK dates – many of which include upgraded venues, due to popular demand. The 20-date run kicks off September 30 at Birmingham’s O2 Institute and concludes on December 7 with a sold-out show at Edinburgh’s The Liquid Room.

A total of eight shows have been upgraded on the tour, included a headlining slot at London’s O2 Forum and a hometown gig at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse. Several shows were already previously sold out, including those in Cardiff, Oxford, and Hull. While original tickets remain valid, fans can purchase tickets here for the newly-added dates beginning this Wednesday at 10:00 am GMT.

The Lathums entered the new year primed for success. Named on the BBC’s Sound of 2021 longlist, the young quartet shared the spotlight with artists like Bree Runway, Greentea Peng, and winner Pa Salieu. The band was also included on the NME’s list of 100 emerging stars of 2021.

Last summer, the band (which includes singer and rhythm guitarist Alex Moore, bassist Johnny Cunliffe, drummer Ryan Durrans, and multi-instrumentalist Scott Concepcion) released their debut physical release, The Memories We Make, followed by their Ghosts EP in the fall.

Looking ahead, The Lathums are readying to releasing their debut LP, which is due out later this year via Island. The signing, Durrans told the NME has “given us the opportunity to do everything we’ve had in our heads for the short amount of time we’ve been in a band. All the ideas we’ve had, this year has finally allowed us to do it – especially the album.”
