Taylor Momsen, lead singer of The Pretty Reckless, has announced the death of her long-time bodyguard, Mason Haynes. In an Instagram post she called him family, protector, confidant and close friend. She said they spent all their time together and formed a bond that is hard to explain.
Momsen described Haynes as a powerful giant with a soft heart. She said he was smart, artistic and always put others first. She also noted his strong stand against bullying. Momsen asked fans to send love to his family and to consider donating to a GoFundMe set up in his memory.
According to the fundraiser, Mason Haynes died in a traffic accident at age 52. “I love you Mason, I can’t believe I’ll never hear your voice again,” Momsen wrote. “You were truly one of a kind.”
