The Pretty Reckless Announces New Album Release and Unveils ‘When I Wake Up’ Single

Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless are gearing up to release their fifth studio album and kick off a headlining world tour in 2026. The band announced the news on Friday, March 13, and also dropped a new song titled “When I Wake Up” through Fearless Records.

The upcoming album will include the single “For I Am Death,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart last November. This new album is being described as the “beginning of a new creative chapter” for the band. It promises to showcase vulnerability, intensity, and artistic freedom, making it one of their most raw and uncompromising records yet.

In a press release, the band shared that they approached this album with a fresh commitment to honest songwriting. The new single “When I Wake Up” features a punk-driven sound while staying true to their signature style of explosive guitars and Momsen’s powerful vocals. Momsen explained that the song tells the story of a dream turning into a nightmare, highlighting the chaos that can come from a life of excess.

To support the album, The Pretty Reckless will embark on a world tour, starting in North America before heading to Europe. Fans can check their official website for the full list of tour dates. This tour follows their two-year stint supporting AC/DC on the Power Up Tour.

The new music comes after the release of their holiday EP, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, which featured a revamped version of “Where Are You Christmas?” that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart. Stay tuned for more updates from The Pretty Reckless!
