The Strokes have pushed back the release date of their new album, *Reality Awaits*, to July 24. It was originally set to come out on June 26. This will be their seventh studio album and the first since 2020’s *The New Abnormal*. The album features the singles “Going Shopping” and “Falling Out of Love.”
The band is kicking off a U.S. tour this Friday at Bonnaroo. They also announced a special show in their hometown of New York City at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on October 2. However, guitarist Nick Valensi will miss some shows as he is taking a temporary break from touring.
