Fans of The Smashing Pumpkins gathered at Madame Zuzu’s tea shop in Highland Park, IL, for a two-day celebration of the 25th anniversary of *Machina/The Machines of God*. The event combined music and nostalgia, attracting dedicated followers to Illinois for a closer look at the band’s history.
To mark the occasion, Universal Music released a special box set featuring a remixed and remastered version of the classic album. This set includes 48 tracks from the original album and 32 bonus tracks, which feature early demos and live recordings. Fans can find both versions of the album in music stores. The standard reissue has 16 tracks, while vinyl lovers can choose between classic black or corona red and black vinyl.
The remastered version is also available online and at physical music stores.
The night before the anniversary weekend, Billy Corgan surprised fans by joining My Chemical Romance on stage to perform a cover of “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.” Frontman Gerard Way sported one of the new Machina shirts created for the celebration.
When *Machina* was released in 2000, it made a big impact on the music scene. Now, after 25 years, fans can enjoy both *Machina* and its sister album, *Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music*, together in one complete set.
This is a great time for fans to celebrate and relive the music that shaped their lives. Don’t miss out on the chance to grab these special editions!
