The Used is set to perform at the iconic Sydney Opera House on March 29, 2026. This special event, titled A Mid Summer Night’s Symphony, will feature the band backed by a full orchestra and choir. It marks the first time the post-hardcore group has played at this legendary venue.
Lead singer Bert McCracken expressed his excitement, saying, “The Sydney Opera House is one of the most prestigious venues in the world. Playing there with a full orchestra and choir is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for The Used. We couldn’t be more excited. Can’t wait to see you there!” Recently, McCracken also became an Australian citizen.
The Used gained fame in the early 2000s with their self-titled debut album released in June 2002. Since then, they’ve achieved four Top 10 debuts and released 10 hit singles. Songs like “The Taste of Ink,” “Pretty Handsome Awkward,” “The Bird and the Worm,” and “I Caught Fire” became fan favorites and festival staples. Their albums, including In Love and Death (2004) and Lies for the Liars (2007), solidified their place in music history. Their latest works include Heartwork (2020), Toxic Positivity (2023), and Medz (2024).
This announcement comes after a successful sold-out 25th-anniversary tour in Australia, where they performed their first three albums in full across multiple cities. The upcoming show will feature songs from their entire discography.
In addition to the Sydney concert, The Used will wrap up 2025 with a North American tour alongside Papa Roach. They also have exciting events lined up for 2026, including Emo’s Not Dead Cruise and a show with My Chemical Romance at the Hollywood Bowl.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale on December 2, with regular tickets available starting December 3. Don’t miss your chance to see this incredible performance!
